Dr. Kath is the owner/operator of J.B. Services Inc. at Yuletide Pines Farm. She has been riding for over 50 years and a member of DeLaBrooke Foxhounds for 45 years. This included 10 years as the foxhunt's junior advisor: leading 35 children ages 5-18 in their own separate hunt field; organizing activities during the hunt season from October through March including participation in the Washington International Horse Show with a juniors only team over fences, junior led foxhunts, weekend ski trips and summer excursions. She has taught riding lessons to students ages 3-65 for 20 years.
Professionally she has an undergraduate degree in elementary education; a master's degree in early childhood with a concentration in special education, a doctorate in Educational Policy, Planning and Administration and worked with the Charles County Public Schools for 34 years beginning her career as an early childhood teacher grades K-2 and retiring as the early childhood specialist. She also was a supervisor of student teacher grades PreK through 12 for 10 years and taught at several universities including the University of Maryland, Bowie State University, the College of Notre Dame and the College of Southern Maryland part time. Her passion continues to be teaching students to pursue their dreams in riding equitation. Several of her students have now become her CPR certified camp counselors.
Dr.Blanche is currently a member of the Board of Directors of De La Brooke Foxhounds W where she serves as the Honorary Field Secretary.
